About Mari
I don't talk a lot, but when I talk, I talk a lot!
I love to have deep conversations about things that really matter. I have no desire to add to the noise of trivial information, but get me on a topic, any topic, add God to the mix and not only will we know each other better in the end, we'll draw closer to God in the process.
For those of you who know me best, you will understand the struggles I face in following the rules, drawing lines between right and wrong, and knowing which battles to fight. For those of you who don't yet know me, I pray you will see in me the desire to love God and love others in Him name.
I am the youngest of seven children and come from a blended family. I've learned a lot about marriage, divorce, trying to unify people who don't necessarily want to be unified, and choosing to be wiling to forgive and move forward.
I met my husband, Craig, at the age of 12. We became high school sweethearts and married soon after college. Our life together has been quite an adventure. We have two beautiful daughters, one energetic dog and a fabulous church family. I mention our church family because without them, we wouldn't be who we are today. They have loved and encouraged us in our walk of faith, coming along side our entire family in times of joy and sorrow. They have been a true blessing!
A part of me is in everything I write. God has loved me with an everlasting love and He loves you, too! My hope is that through the telling of my story, my journey of faith, through my blog and through the studies and devotions I write, you will be encouraged on your journey of faith as well. Don't think you're on a journey? The truth is God loves you, is for you, and is waiting for you to come to Him.
